Q: Does the SIROLaser accommodate disposable tips?
A: Yes. The SIROLaser now accommodates disposable tips. Just order part number 6187715 from Sirona Dental Systems. This part is referred to as a "nose cone". It screws on to the end of your current handpiece and is narrow enough to accommodate disposable tips. 20ga bendable tips are what we recommend.
Q: What fibers are available for the SIROLaser?
A: We have 3 different fibers. The 200nm and 320nm fiber come with the SIROLaser. We also have a 400nm fiber available for purchase. All 3 fibers are 3 meters in length.
Q:How do I cleave the fiber?
A: Use the scissors included with your SIROLaser. Score the the fiber approx. 1cm from the end. Break off the fiber. If you have a round donut shaped aiming beam you have cleaved the fiber successfully. If it's not round, repeat the cleaving process.
Q: I am getting an interlock error code.
A: The Y-Connector or interlock bridge is not connected correctly. Turn off the SIROLaser and check the interlock connection. Make sure that it is plugged in and screwed in.
